With Manchester United once again facing up to the fact that they may not qualify for the Champions League for another season it is expected that Jose Mourinho will spend big in the summer in an effort to challenge the top 4.

The Portuguese manager made big name purchases last time around in the form of Paul Pogba, Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Zlatan Ibrahimovic and fan's will be expecting similar size transfers coming in come July.

One name that has been constantly linked with the Manchester club since his heroics at Euro 2016 is French International Antoine Griezmann and it has been widely reported that United are firm favourites to secure the forwards signature.

However it seems Griezmann wont be going anywhere. In an interview with RTVE the frenchman stated he was 'staying at Atletico'. “I’m very happy here and of course the nice weather really helps a lot! My team mates are among the best there are and then I have a top class coach, so I am very happy here and I have no reason to leave” said Griezmann.

This will of course be music to Atletico Madrid head coach Diego Simeone's ears ... as long as he's also still with the La Liga outfit next season!
