Chelsea legend in lucrative move to South East Asia

The last couple of transfer windows have been dominated by players making big money moves to the Chinese Super League. The likes of Carlos Tevez, Oscar and Axel Witsel are now plying their trade in the far east and the Chinese football revolution is showing no signs of subsiding.

It seems though that China is not the only attractive league in Asia for former top flight footballers. Reports from Indonesia suggest that Chelsea and Real Madrid legend Michael Essien is about to put pen to paper on a deal to join Persib Bandung in the country's Liga 1.

The midfielder enjoyed a stellar career with Chelsea, Real Madrid & AC Milan whilst also playing in France & Greece winning Ligue 1 twice, the Premier League twice, the FA Cup 4 times and the Champions League in 2012. The Ghanian International is reportedly earning £800,000 for his season in South East Asia.
