The 24 year old defender has been a revelation in an otherwise forgettable campaign for Boro and the clubs treacherous position at the bottom end of the table has led to the Premier Leagues Elite sending scouts to watch the former U21 man week in week out.

Valued at £30million, the large fee seems to have not put off Chelsea, Arsenal and West Ham, with the London trio reportedly ready to make offers.
