Spurs linked to Hull City star

As the Premier League becomes more and more dominated by the best players from around the world, Tottenham have been one of the most successful clubs at bucking that trend by bringing in the top talent Britain has to offer alongside players brought through their famous academy. From Gareth Bale signing from Southampton to Deli Alli coming in from MK Dons and Harry Kane graduating from the youth system, the Lillywhites have a knack at picking out homegrown talent.

This policy doesn't look like stopping soon with reports saying that the North London club will try to sign Hull City defender Harry Maguire in the summer. The 24 year old has had an outstanding season at the KC Stadium, becoming one of the shining lights at a club who has struggled to step up to the challenges of top flight football.

A centre back who is as comfortable defending as he is with the ball at his feet, The only question mark to the move comes because Maguire would come into a squad containing 2 of the best central defenders in European football in the form of Toby Alderweireld and Jan Vertonghen, meaning first team chances may be limited. However if he progresses at the same rate as he has this season then he could quickly become real competition to the Belgian duo.
